The University of North Florida Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work (SASW) in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for the position of Field Education Director for the Master of Social Work (MSW) program. This is a 12-month instructor position to begin August 2022.  The successful candidate will work in tandem with the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Field Education Director to build on existing community partnerships, develop new collaborations, and support student learning in the field.  In addition to field administrative activities, the Field Education Director will teach five courses per academic year.


We are seeking candidates with experience with graduate social work field education and Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation processes who can provide strong leadership to our emerging MSW Program that serves the communities in northeast Florida.  Minimum qualifications include a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE accredited program plus three years post-MSW direct practice experience and two years of university-level instruction and/or relevant professional training experience (e.g., developing curriculum, preparing presentations, facilitating trainings).  Preferred practice specialties include child welfare, children’s mental health, medical social work, and hospice social work.  Preferred candidates should be licensed to the equivalent of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.
